Northern Family Intervention Servicese is very grateful to Doyle Roofing for their generous support and donation to NFIS. Karen Ross, NFIS Home Based Worker and co-owner of Doyle Roofing, shared the following success story::ren, money was tight and haircuts were on the bottom of the list of things to take care of. The children’s mom would often cut their hair. The youth was often bullied at school. He stated that everyone would say that they were poor because his clothes didn’t fit right and he needed a hair cut. I asked his mom if she cared if I took him for a hair cut and she said "absolutely not!" So we went to a local salon to get a “real haircut”. He got in the chair and was all smiles. When he was done with his hair cut he was quiet for a minute. I asked him what was wrong and he told the lady cutting his hair that he didn’t have a comb at home. She immediately went to the back and got him a comb. He jumped out of the chair so happy and said, now I won’t get bullied anymore. All the way home he was looking at himself in the mirror, thanking me over and over. He was excited to face time his brother who was down visiting his dad to show him his new hair cut."
