NFIS, in conjunction with Pine Rest Traverse City Clinic, put on its Second Annual "It Takes A Village" Conference, April 24-26. This conference, which began as the "Spring Fling" in NFIS, featured a number of great speakers and sessions working to solve problems that Northern Michigan families everyday. The conference brought together the best (and local) presenters and coordinators addressing solutions to the problems of Northern Michigan from poverty to suicide to education and improving human services systems in our area. It was also certfied to provide 12 CE hours for Michigan social workers.
